This page will include WIP screenshots and other fun stuff for MAME, M1, and whatever else I'm working on.
This site: I've transferred over to a real blog site located at http://rbelmont.mameworld.info/. Future 'regular' updates will be there - this site will be used too, but
I'm not sure what for yet ;-)
MAME: I'm starting to think like a Konami hardware engineer. Please send help.

ZiNc: In case you missed it, ZiNc 1.1 is out at EmuHype. Features include corrected gameplay speed in many games, much more robust unzipping, and slightly faster operation on Linux thanks to a new compiler.
M1: More cleanup. Adding a native ALSA output option to the Linux version, but it's not working yet.
MAME: Upgraded my working tree to 0.90u4. Now finishing the first pass of the Namco Super System 22 MCU integration, where the M37710 reads the controls.
But first, a little Lethal Enforcers (the first one):

Misc: Upgraded to an LCD monitor. If your eyes ever get tired from reading text on a CRT I highly recommend the upgrade - there are some great panels now for not much more than a CRT.
This site: Added a stylesheet. The page is now known to work on Firefox, Konqueror, IE 6, and Safari.
M1: Happy New Year! I'm back from vacation but I will still be busy at work for the next 2-3 weeks or so. In the meantime I've cleaned up some internal issues in M1 that
prevented several games from working when M1 was compiled as native 64-bit on x86-64. This means that when M1 is next released the Linux version will be available in both 32 and 64-bit varieties,
so people with Athlon 64s and compatible Xeons who run a 64 bit distro (I'm using Fedora Core 3 on an Athlon 64) can get the full benefit.
M1: Audited all remaining games and reworked ROMs to MAME 0.88u4. Set approximate 0.7.6 release parameters.
M1: General cleanup. Audited all games from 88games through ga2 and updated to match MAME 0.88u3 as necessary. Also fixed the System 18 sample banking with Charles' latest info, although frankly it doesn't do much for D.D. Crew ;-)
MAME: Sorted out all the ROM sets in the Model 3 skeleton driver. Ville Linde added some muscles to the skeleton.

MAME: Stuff I've done since the last update here: Converted Steve Ellenoff's i8031/8051/8052/8731/8751/8752 core to the latest MAME core and submitted it so Aaron can emulate
the protection in Sega's "Moonwalker" properly. Fixed the sound in GP Rider. Added Konami's "Dead Eye" to the GV driver; it's not playable yet for the same reasons as
Beat the Champ though. And, with Andrew Gardiner and Ville Linde, added 64-bit PowerPC 603 core support and a skeleton Sega Model 3 driver (no video emulation, most games barely boot).

MAME: ElSemi found a major i960 core bug. That combined with some work I was doing to make a lot of the Model 2 games run better:

MAME: Removed two GPL source files from MAME to ensure MAMEdev's continued legal safety. Also submitted Beat the Champ (not playable yet), converted sfish2 to CHD thanks
to a new dump, and fiddled with something else courtesy of a new toy of Guru's...

NOTE: No games are dumpable or playable, this is simply the result of being able to dump the "sub-BIOS" from the board.
MAME: I forgot to fix this in the driver, so if you want to see Speed Racer attract mode, use this nvram file for now. You must be running 0.87u1 or later.
MAME: src/cpu/mb86235 almost compiles now (it's down to 1 screen full of errors, from several dozen earlier today). I realize that's not real exciting, but emulation's like
that sometimes.
Everything else: smf got Tekken 3 to run again in ZiNc, but currently only without sound (I'll investigate further). M1 plays Matrimelee now, and I may as well add R*g* of the Dr*g*ns at that point too. And I improved the oscilloscope in
the Win32 version of Audio Overload 2.0 while Bannister improved the core. Needs better playlist handling still though.
