Remember R.O.B.?? After the video game crash of 1984, Nintendo took a chance and won big time. It (the NES, not R.O.B.) totally renewed the home video game industry and made Nintendo a household name. BTW, I still have my little robot. It sits above my desk :)

For the most cycle-accurate NES emulator out there, check out NEStopia. It supports practically all of the different controller attachments, and even supports the Famicom Disk System.
