Psycho II with MS Pac-Man in a bar. Jonemaan: In Jackie Chan's First Action Hero (dunno if thats the correct title), there's an SF2 cabinet. Tiihonen Tommi J: "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"(82), couple of scenes from "mall arcade", there's Tempest, Gorf... Leonard Harms: There is a Tempest machine in 'Night of the Comet' (1984). Tal Funke-Bilu: In the movie "The Toy (1982)" with Richard Pryor...the kid has a Space Duel machine and some others in his room. Jan Hammer: The Wizard (1989) - Playch10: Double Dragon, Mega Man II, Ninja Gaiden and I. Stewart's Off-Road Challenge, Pac Man Jr. and many many more. (Almost the whole movie is shot in different arcades) Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985) - In the Trucker Stop is a Gravitron Arcade Machine. E.T. The Extraterrestial (1982) - ...the arcade game Asteroids is mentioned. Police Academy 3 (1986) - Atari's Paperboy is shown, the scene with the Patrol Unit TV System. Alexander Birnbaumer: Rumble Fish from Francis Ford Coppola with Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke, Nicolas Cage, Dennis Hopper, ... Rusty James is playing Turbo (?) at an arcade - don't know which other games are there (from the 80's) Barney H.: "Blake's 7" (Sci-Fi UK 1978) - There's a bit in Blake's 7, where one of the characters has to win their freedom by playing a 'simulation'. Francisco Villar: "What's eating Gilbert Grape" (USA 1993). I´ve noticed a Video Game (couldn´t tell which one) in the Bar, left to it is an Pinball Game played by Leonardo DiCaprio (approx. at 30 min from the Start). Brian Adkins: The 1981 movie "Bustin Loose" has a scene in it where the boys go to an all night arcade. They're playing an Atari Indy 800. In the background can be seen two XO football machines along with a Battlezone. Richard Duran: There's a pizza parlor scene in Ron Howard's movie "Parenthood - USA 1989" with Steve Martin. Lots of vid games, but i recall Steve's son playing the game "Bad Dudes". David Granville: Tom Cruise can be seen playing super sprint in the movie "The Colour Of Money". Panos Koutsoyannis: In the movie the "Last Detail (USA 1973)" with jack nicholson has a scene towards the end where the three main characters are getting change for a dollar in an arcade. Right behind Jack, very clearly, you can see a computer space. Todd Kanistras: Terms of Endearment (USA 1983) - Defender shown in pool scene with Jack Nicolson. Better of Dead (USA 1985) - Pacman and Robotron shown in burger restrauant scene when John Cusack is playing a saxophone and Punch Out shown in grocery check out scene. Parenthood (USA 1989) - Scene with Steve Martin and his son, they are in an arcade playing Bad Dudes. Bixtron: Roadside Prophets (USA 1992): Dude gets "fried" playing an arcade machine..... his last words were "monkey's attack". A road movie with John Cusack, David Carradine and others. Rich Hudson: Return Of The Living Dead Part 3 (USA 1993): In the grocery store about 1/3 way through the film, gang members are playing Street Figher II (Championship Edition?). Eric Draves: In the original Piranha movie (USA 1978), in the opening, a girl is playing a Jaws machine. Stiletto: "Rad Mobile" had a fairly big role in the 1992 movie "Encino Man". Sid Crowe: Joan Jett is playing something in an arcade at the end of the movie Light of Day (USA 1987). She also gives a bit of a SPEECH about them, earlier on in the movie. John 3ac@...: The game 'stocker' is featured at the beginning of the Tom Cruise movie 'The Color Of Money'. Mark Elliott: The Brother from Another Planet (USA 1984) has a ton of Cabs in it as the main character (The Brother) has the ability to fix the machines by simply touching them and becomes a Repair Man. Matt Sephton: In Swingers (USA 1996), they play multiplayer Meagdrive/Genesis "EA Ice Hockey" (Wayne Getzky's?). They comment how in this years version some of the fighting had been taken out. Vaz: In 'Punch-drunk Love' (USA 2002), with Adam sandler, there's a scene with some guys talking and a couple of cabinets visible in the background. Wladimir Quiroz Galeas: Jackie Chan transforms in differents players of Street Fighter 2 in the movie 'City Hunter (Hong Kong 1992)'. Sergio Peralta: Many arcade machines in Toys (USA 1992) with Robin Williams. MaddMaxx: 'Poetic Justice' (w/Tupac (JUICE) & Janet Jackson). Janet Jackson's boyfriend is playing Street Fighter 2 at a concessions stand at a drive-in. Sergio Peralta: Driving Me Crazy (USA 1991) aparece el arcade de mario bros en la escena de la pelea en el bar. Scott Heit: Arcade scenes are in: Ferris Buellers Day off (Matthew Broderick) and Private School (Matthew Modine). Nicolas Parent: In the movie D.A.R.Y.L. (USA 1985) is Daryl playing with a friend on an old game. Vaz: The game in the movie D.A.R.Y.L. is Pole Position. Don't remember which conversion was, tho. stabo10: I remember there was an arcade featured in this fantasy time period version of Titus (USA 1999). If I remember correctly, it had some pretty obscure games. George Quintero: In the 1984 movie "No Small Affair" with Jon Cryer and Demi Moore. In the restaurant scenes,......3 ATARI Arcade Machines can be seen. "POLE POSITION"....."STAR WARS"......."CRYSTAL CASTLES". Stephen & Karlie Cooper: The movie CopLand with Sly Stallone, he is playing a Lethal Weapon pinball at the start! Jason Greene: ... one that I know from the 80's, "Night Of The Comet (1984)" has a Tempest machine in the movie quite a few times as it is actually a small part of the stiry. Also, in the 90's movies, "Return Of The Living Dead III" has some gang bangers playing a Street fighter II machine in a convienience store where all hell breks loose. |
