Bugs:
  • I have finally made a video of gaiapolis intro from the pcb. The background has bad gfx in mame, like tilemaps which are not linked good or bad pixels. You can now compare pcb intro vs mame intro. Also MAME has black blocks in the map. I think the ROZ maskrom was corrupt or bad dumped. Unfortunately, the pcb is not mine so I can't desolder it and dump. verified gaiapols096u3ora Kold666

  • 23rd March 2003: Acho A. Tang further improved the sprite/tilemap priorities in Kyukyoku Sentai Dadandarn and Gaiapolis. R. Belmont fixed the dipswitches in all the working games in the recent Konami driver and started fixing the internal ROM tests.
  • 21st March 2003: Acho A. Tang fixed various graphics glitches in Mystic Warriors, Kyukyoku Sentai Dadandarn, Metamorphic Force and Gaiapolis. R. Belmont improved the graphics in the aforementioned drivers.
  • 17th March 2003: R. Belmont added the rotation and zoom graphics layer emulation to Gaiapolis and Kyukyoku Sentai Dadandarn thanks to Olivier Galibert. Nicola Salmoria also improved the ROZ layer emulation in them.
  • 11th March 2003: R. Belmont sent in a driver for Mystic Warriors hardware games supporting Mystic Warriors and Gaiapolis.
  • 14th August 2002: Guru - Dumped Gaiapolis.

A far away land filled with monsters and under the hand of an evil king is on the edge of destruction. Only a small group of brave heroes (a dragon warrior, a fairy & a prince) dare to step forth to look for lhe legendary sword of the Golden Hawk hidden in the flying citadel known as Gaiapolis in order to topple the evil king and bring peace to this troubled land. Features some very nice 2-D graphics, awesome character & enemy artwork designs, a superb soundtrack and addicting hack & slash action with some RPG characteristics (characters & weapons level up, plenty of magic spells & summons). If you enjoyed Taito's Cadash, this game is for you!
