Below you will find a number of files useful for the running of all sorts of emus or emulation related activities.

The first addition are the Sidewinder profiles for use with Mame:

Note: Profile1 is only to help out people with severe SW probs. It has deficiencies as only one keystroke will be recognised at a time, i.e. moving and firing at the same time is impossible. You will also need version 3.02 of the SW software to use these. Get it from Microsoft These profiles also work with ZSNES and other emus, just make sure that the keystrokes correspond with the keys the emu works with.

Profile 1	(only recommended in emergencies): This replaces all buttons and directional pad movement by keystrokes (configure Mame for no joystick)
Profile 2	(recommended): This replaces the buttons only, the directional pad is left alone. Configure your SW as a 4 button pad (-joy 3 in the Mame command line
Profile 3	Sidewinder Profile for use with the N64 emulator UltraHle
MAMELANG	A very cool binary for Mame36b3 with Multi Language Support. Choose from the command prompt which language you'd like to see your Mame in!
EmuPlus	A special compile by Dan Man with a lot of added features which come in very handy. Check out what these features are here. The 36 beta 7 version is availble here, and the source here
MameJoy	Another file by Robert J. Ragno which adds analog control facilities and options not featured in the official release. This is for version 36b12 of Mame
Grip Mame	This is a file by Robert J. Ragno which adds Gravis Grip and Exterminator support to Mame. It also fixes the Sidewinder problems in this release as well as all known Namco bugs. This is for version 36b8 of Mame

Arcade@Home	The best Mame frontend on the block. Lots of options, very userfriendly and works like a gem :-) This is the latest version, 36d
CSDPMI3b	A DOS extender needed to run many DOS emus (This version is for PCs with less thanb 64MBRAM)
CSDPMI4b	A DOS extender needed to run many DOS emus (This version is for PCs with more than 64MBRAM)
DOS4GW	Also a DOS extender neede to run most emus in DOS
Flipback File	Allows you to "flip back" N64 roms which were flipped for use with some emus such as UltraHle
Glide2x	The Banshee Glide driver which allows you to run UltraHle flawlessly with your Voodoo3. Unzip and place into your UltrHle directory
Gururin Fix	Batchfile to fix the checksum error in the rom to make it work with Mame (Thanks Dutch)
Irritating Maze Fix	Batchfile to fix the rom name error in the rom to make it work with Mame (Thanks Dutch)
Joyemu	This software let's you configure and use a joystick with emulators or any ther programs which don't support one. Very useful for older emus or if you're having detection trouble. Version 41
Mesa 3D drivers	Custom 3D card drivers. Some people need these to run Impact successfully.
Metal Slug X Fix	Batchfile to fix the rom error to make it work with Mame (Thanks errrh can`t remember :-))
MFC42.DLL	A zip file containing several updated.dll files which some people need to update their systems with to run Impact
Mousestick	This let's you control your mouse cursor with your joystick
NeoGeo Mame Fix	This will rename your NeoGeo romsets so that you won't have to download them again to work with Mame36b1. Very useful file as it saves you hours on the net.
QPlayer	Nice utility to play your QSound game tunes of Capcom Games. Version 1.1.6
Redump	This file (version26) converts 22 NeoGeo games into the MVS format supported by Mame saving you from havi8ng to download them once again for compatibility's sake. It originates here, thanks Till :)
Romcenter	A premier rom management and verification utility. Visit it's homepage here This is version 1.80
Rtool	An editing tool for N64 roms. Very useful.
UltraHle addon file	This will allow two player gaming and fix a few bugs in UltraHle
Wave to Sam	This file allows you to convert MAME samples in .wav format into the previously used .sam format if you prefer using older versions of the emulator.
ZDKeyMap	A very useful utility which will add a function to your keyboard control panel to allow you to remap all your keyboard keys.
Zelda 64 Fix	This will allow you to finish the game under UltraHle which is not possible otherwise due to a bug in the emulation

Useful Software (all of the below are evaluation copies or freeware. There is no pirated software here):

Autoinsult	A very funny app that generates insults with the click of your mouse button. Very useful for retaliating flames. And witty, too, not just profanity :-)
EZ Macros	This software allows you easily program macros for your desktop or any application. It can record mouse movement as well as keystrokes. The macros can be activated by a simple combination of keystrokes (i.e. Alt+S). This can be very handy for programming common command lines, URL's and links, addresses, etc.
Cute FTP	This is a very good FTP oftware if you want to upload and download files and pages via FTP which is often faster than http
Awave	A very handyutiöity to convert 100s of sound formats...including the Mame samples
AVP	Anti Viral Toolkit Pro, one of the best anti virus softwares out there. Easy to use and update.
Getright	A very useful software which lets you program your downloads.
Gozilla	Pretty much the same as Getright but entirely free :-)
Paintshop Pro	This is a very good Graphics software, I use it for all my rips and animated gifs. Easy to use and quality output. This is version 5.01
Powertoys	Useful Desktop enhancements for Windoze
Powertweak	A PC optimisation tool which will extract the best possible performance out of your system.
Winzip	The most common file compression utility out there. You can't go without this one until all emus support zipped roms :-) This is version 7.01
Scitech Display Doctor	This software includes lots of vesa drivers and more which will allow you to display those odd resolutions needed for some emulated games which your graohics card does not support natively. This is version 6.53, Windoze and Dos drivers included in this one.
Winrar	Another compression utility which is handy for those large file downloads from Usent which are usually in .rar format
Zipdl	A very cool little file which allows you to open zips which are online mand then only download one of the included files instead of having to download the whole archive
Zipmagic	This program runs on your desktop and in applications. It will show zipfiles as folders and allow instant access without the need to unzip them first. If activated in emus such as KGEN98, which do not natively support zipped roms, it allows you to play your roms straight out of the zipfile without having to unzip first.
