Patch to 0.121u2 released

November 29th, 2007 by James

There’s some support for Spotlight, an old Maygay M1 title, in this one. However, this is mainly to test a few new component drivers.

This also will probably mark the end of the WordPress based download engine, since the script Twisty wrote for MAMEDev urinates on our current one from a great height.

EDIT: Those who can spot a makefile.rej in their folder after patching may need to either reverse the patch by using -R and redownloading from the site, or if you have a makefile.orig, renaming that to makefile and deleting makefile.rej - the original version of this patch tried to repatch the MAME makefile.

No need for a patch for u1

November 22nd, 2007 by James

Seeing as my current version of AGEMAME is broken because of some new drivers I’m working on, and there’s no changes in the latest baseline patch that affect it, I’m giving u1 a miss.

New site theme

November 21st, 2007 by James

I’m soft launching a new look to the site which looks a little brighter. I know there are still some issues with the appearance of the sidebar, but I can’t quite see what’s causing the problem as yet.

If you’re wondering, the idea is that by putting the navigation on the left, the Source Browser should start to handle long lines more effectively.

EDIT: I ‘m aware that there are still faults on some pages, most of these are going to be rewritten for content, and updated then.

AGEMAME 0.121 Released

November 20th, 2007 by James

Nothing really new based on u4, but it consolidates a number of changes in the MAME core, and provides a stable platform for me to do some more involved work this update cycle.

Auditing fix for 120u4

November 16th, 2007 by James

Some people may have noticed an error concerning gtpoker when auditing games in the latest AGEMAME. The patch has been corrected for all future downloads, but for those who want to fix it, apply this patch in the normal way, or revert your old patch. Future patches will assume this fix has been included, so bear that in mind.

Another fix needed

November 10th, 2007 by James

Since there are still some people reporting issues with patching lvpoker.c, I’ve put the affected file up for download. This seems bizarre, as it continues to work for me - please make sure you’re using the tools from mamedev.org - I think there are some builds of diff and patch there.

Anyway, I’ll be clearing out the version control database soon, so hopefully that will fix it.
