One new (non-working game) from HIGHWAYMAN, and a bit more spring cleaning.
Still, better than nothing, eh?

Finally added El Grande, and started work on an IMPACT driver, coming out of the video driver skeleton.
Hopefully, I’ll find a solution to the stepper motor problem soon.
EDIT: Those who are experiencing patching errors should reverse the patch by adding -R to the commandline, and then redownloading and applying the patch, where the fix has been put in.

I’ve not been blessed with a lot of time to work on this this past couple of weeks, and the time I have been putting in is in stuff that won’t make the releases for a long time yet (new drivers, etc). This release won’t have the fix in for gamball, for example, as that’s a deep seated bug in the stepper motor handling that needs a MAME core fix to sort, and frankly I don’t have an elegant solution ready yet (Atari Ace has though, so I just need to merge that with any potential ‘new’ reel types I discover in what I’m planning).
I’ll also see about fixing up IMPACT to run AWPs, as I could do with another torture test for the stepper module.

There seems little point in releasing a patch at this point, I’d rather spend a bit more time on making a few improvements to the reel code.

Yamaha sound support now available (using Gamball as a test), as well as some minor tweaks to MPU4 protection emulation.
If anyone has a manual for Gamball, please let me know, as finding the switches for the ball matrix is proving a problem.

Courtesy of stg, we now have an unofficial AGEMAME32 build again, using the official MAME32
(it’s unofficial in the sense I can’t provide technical support for it, it should work perfectly well)
See the AGEMAME32 section of the downloads.

The AWP Simulator change has now been made into a full release to download.
Also, there’s significant improvements to light and sound handling for many games.
see the Whatsnew file for more information.

Major changes to the VFD system, you’ll want to download the new .lay file from the AWP Simulator Layouts page.

Well, first thing is that, nice as it may be, I’m not going to use the HTMLizer on the source tree, because you’d lose the download functionality for one thing.
Second, the existing Dr. Who layout will now break, due to the VFD being handled differently. When the patch is released, a new layout file will be uploaded which will fix the issue.
